Complex Networks Names Nick Wang Head of International Business Development

New Appointment Comes Off The Heels of Senior Corporate Leadership Hires, Celine Perrot-Johnson As CFO and Endi Piper As General Counsel, in 2019

NEW YORK, NY (March  11, 2020) — Complex Networks, the leading global lifestyle brand and entertainment company, announces Nick Wang as its new Head of International Business Development. In his new role, Wang will lead efforts to explore and develop broader partnership opportunities for Complex Networks, brands and original video IP as it continues to expand outside of the United States. He joins Complex Networks after serving as VP, International at Propagate.

“We're thrilled to have Nick join our team and help accelerate our strategy for continued international expansion in 2020 and beyond,” said Complex Networks SVP Business Development and Global Content, Myles O’Connell “He brings an impressive track record and expertise in international partnerships and distribution to the role, and we’re confident he'll continue to open up new opportunities for Complex Networks’ global presence.”

The hire comes on the heels of Complex Networks’ continued growth in international markets, most notably in Canada through a high-profile partnership with the market’s largest broadcaster Corus, which was announced in June 2019.  Wang will focus on driving 360 partnership opportunities and further increasing the licensing of Complex Network’s successful programming on a global scale.

During his combined 7 year tenure at Propagate and Electus, Wang developed international distribution partnerships and has already successfully licensed Everyday Struggle, Complex News’ daily hip-hop debate show, to MNet in South Africa.

Wang’s joining of Complex continues Complex Networks’ strategy of investing in and professionalizing business leadership, including Endi Piper who joined last year as General Counsel and Celine Perrot-Johnson who also joined in 2019 as Chief Financial Officer. Piper provides strategic counsel on a wide range of topics, including corporate transactions, licensing, acquisitions, production, business strategy, litigation, and intellectual property. Prior to joining Complex Networks, she served as the Senior Vice President of Business and Legal Affairs for TV One, LLC. Perrot-Johnson provides financial and strategic guidance to identify future growth opportunities and brings a unique set of skills spanning from Financial Planning, Treasury and M&A. She joins Complex Networks from Viacom where she led the global financial planning team during several corporate transactions.

“Nick, Endi and Celine all bring impressive track records of business and corporate expertise, and have already made notable impacts on the health and success of our business," said Complex Networks President, Christian Baesler "As a high-growth media and entertainment network, our ability to support the speed of creative innovation with equally superior corporate infrastructure is critical -- I can think of no better leaders in these roles to help us achieve that."
